Enrichment Score For each gene list supplied, the significance of enrichment is determined using the one-tailed Fisher exact test. P values are Benjamini-Hochberg (BH) adjusted across all cell/tissue types. The final score reported in CTen is the -log10 of the BH-adjusted P value. Gene Universe It is critical that the gene list being analyzed is from an array that offers complete or nearly complete genome coverage. Analyzing lists from microarrays that only provide partial coverage or only cover select process will strongly bias the resulting enrichment scores and result in artificially low P-values (corresponding to artificially high enrichment scores.)
